The measurement of the antioxidant potential is therefore the determination of the protective effect of a vitamin or food. Worldwide, this measurement is preferably carried out by the TEAC method (or similar measuring method). It is simple and cheap – but possibly outdated. Because this method did a whole generation of scientists, would be the most effective antioxidant vitamins. Perhaps the biggest mistake of nutritional science.

Carotenoids
